Donaldsonville Mayor proclaims 'Paint the Town Purple Day'

Donaldsonville Mayor Leroy Sullivan and the City Council recognized "Paint the Town Purple Day" on March 24, 2017 in honor of the American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life.

As the American Cancer Society's signature event, it is a fun-filled overnight experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. At Relay, people from within the community gather to celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease.

Shown with the Mayor is city enforcement officer Murray Walker. Councilmen, from left, are: Charles Brown, Raymond Aucoin, Reginald Francis, Brent Landry, and Lauthaught Delaney (front row).
