The City of Donaldsonville's audit will be performed by a new accounting firm.
The City Council voted Tuesday night to accept an engagement letter from Postlethwaite & Netterville, an accounting and business advisory firm with offices in Donaldsonville.
The letter concerning the annual audit stated the firm's services would not exceed $25,000.
Mayor Leroy Sullivan Sr. said the change was necessitated due to Waguespack & Gallagher, LLC, based in Napoleonville, no longer being able to provide services to the city.
Sullivan estimated Waguespack & Gallagher's fee had been $22,000.
