Located within 35-45 minutes of such exciting and famous spots as the City of Baton Rouge and the City of New Orleans, the City of Donaldsonville is seated on the Mississippi River and Bayou Lafourche which makes for a perfect place to stay in a quaint and historical town located within Plantation Country. Donaldsonville and Ascension Parish have a lot to offer for those who want to get out of the busy City and just want to relax.

Donaldsonville is about a one-hour drive from both
New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

If you are driving from New Orleans, go west on I-10.

If you are driving from Baton Rouge, go east on I-10.

-Take exit #182 off I-10 and on to Louisiana Highway 22.
-Turn left on La Hwy. 22 and go .4 miles.
-Turn left on Louisiana Highway 70 and follow the signs directing you to the Sunshine Bridge.
-Cross the Sunshine Bridge.
-About one-fourth mile after crossing the bridge, turn right on to Louisiana Highway 3120, which is the street next to the Best Western.
-Travel down Highway 3120 until it intersects with Mississippi St.
(also called Highway 18) at the Levee.
-Turn left on Mississippi St. and travel about 2 miles to Railroad Avenue.
You are now in historic downtown Donaldsonville.
